The Jerusalem District Court filed a prosecutor's statement Thursday morning against a 32-year-old resident of Jerusalem’s Isawiya neighborhood suspected of collaborating with Hezbollah. The suspect faces imminent indictment for contacting a foreign agent and committing severe security offenses, with his detention extended pending further proceedings.

According to a joint investigation by the Shin Bet (ISA) and the Yamar police unit, the suspect had direct contact with Hezbollah operatives abroad and joined a social media group called "The Axis of Resistance," operated by the group. Through this platform, he reportedly shared sensitive information and collaborated with other operatives.

The investigation also uncovered links between the suspect and other Jerusalem Arabs who had been previously charged with assisting the same Hezbollah operative in recent months. He was also found to have met with terrorists in Jenin, where he was photographed posing with weapons and documented sensitive locations with his camera, later sharing the information.

On December 25, the suspect was apprehended at his home in Isawiya during a coordinated operation involving the police and ISA. During his interrogation, he confessed to working with Hezbollah operatives and engaging in activities aligned with the terror organization.

Following the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect appeared in court, where his detention was extended to allow for the filing of a formal indictment.

"Israel Police and the ISA will continue working alongside all security forces to apprehend terror operatives and thwart acts of terrorism, ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens," the agencies said in a joint statement.
