Yuval Raphael, a survivor of the October 7 massacre at the Nova Festival in Re’im, was crowned the winner of Hakokhav Haba ("Rising Star") on Wednesday evening.

The Keshet 12 reality competition victory secures her spot as Israel's representative at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place this May in Basel, Switzerland.

Singer Valerie Hamaty earned second place, while Moran Aharoni and Red Band tied for third.

Daniel Wais, a resident of Kibbutz Be’eri, whose father was murdered and mother kidnapped and later killed in the same terror attack, came in fourth.

Upon her win, Yuval Raphael expressed heartfelt gratitude: "I cannot explain how excited and ready I am. Thank you for giving me this tremendous honor and trusting me to represent my people."
