The security camera footage from a local pizzeria, aired on Channel 12 News, shows the assailant, later identified as Moroccan national Abdelaziz Kaddi, calmly purchasing a pizza before heading out to commit the attack.

The stabbing took place at two separate locations along Nahalat Binyamin Street and Kalisher Street in Tel Aviv, leaving five people injured. One victim was seriously wounded, two others moderately injured, and two more sustained light injuries. Israel Police Commissioner Dani Levi praised the swift response from soldiers on the scene, who quickly neutralized the attacker.

Interior Minister Moshe Arbel later revealed that the Population and Immigration Authority had identified Kaddi upon his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Security officials had initially sought to prevent his entry into Israel, but ultimately allowed him entry after questioning.

Arbel has called on Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar to investigate the situation and learn from the incident. One of the victims of the attack, Armored Corps officer Captain A., who lost his right hand in combat during the Gaza war, shared his account of the attack. He described being out with friends at Nahalat Binyamin when the terrorist approached and attempted to stab one of them. Captain A. tried to stop the attacker and was injured during the pursuit but is expected to recover.

The attack was committed by Kaddi, a U.S. green card holder with permanent residency. Footage shows him eating pizza at the pizzeria and conversing with the owner, Chaim Bassan, who later realized the man was the terrorist after seeing images of him circulating on social media. Bassan recalled the moment the attack began, as people ran and shouted "terrorist," followed by the sound of gunfire.

Kaddi, who spoke English with an Arabic accent, was observed eating outside and even returned his plate, which Bassan noted was unusual for some customers. Minutes after leaving the pizzeria, the stabbing spree unfolded, leading to widespread panic in the area. The terrorist was neutralized by an off duty border police officer and four people were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
