Captain A., an armored officer who was wounded in the war in Gaza and lost his right hand, was lightly wounded last night (Wednesday) in a stabbing attack in Nachalat Binyamin in Tel Aviv.

"Today I'm at the Tactical Command College, in a company commander's course, I left the course with my friends for Nachalat Binyamin, and during the recreation a terrorist came and tried to stab one of us. As soon as I noticed the incident, I tried to hit the terrorist and we chased him, I was injured and am currently being treated at Ichilov with a slight hand injury, and I look forward to returning to the company commander's course tomorrow and continuing as usual," A. said last night.

The IDF said that A. acted to neutralize the terrorist at the scene and was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital for treatment. The terrorist, Kadi Abdel Aziz, a 29-year-old Moroccan citizen, held an American green card. He arrived in Israel only three days before the attack, and already at the entrance the border controller suspected him of questioning him.

According to the controller, the terrorist did not give sufficiently understandable reasons for why he wanted to enter Israel, did not say for what purpose he came, who accepted him and whether he came to work. Immediately after the interrogation, he was refused and transferred to the Shin Bet, but they eventually approved his entry.

The terrorist stabbed five people in Tel Aviv last night - one was seriously wounded, one moderately wounded and three lightly wounded. He was killed by fighters who passed through the area.
