Following a series of international airlines announcing their return to operations in Israel, Air France announced today (Tuesday) that it is resuming its flights between Paris and Tel Aviv in four days, starting January 25, 2025.

It has not yet been announced whether the Transavia subsidiary will return together with Air France or a little later. The Dutch company KLM, which belongs to the Air France-KLM corporation, has not yet announced its return to Israel.

Currently, Air France is expected to be the only foreign airline to operate direct flights to Paris, until other airlines announce their joining this route.

In recent weeks, the aviation industry in Israel has experienced a wave of international airlines returning to Israel, heralding a gradual recovery of international aviation at Ben Gurion Airport.

The latest to announce its return is British Airways, which announced last night that it will resume its flights from London to Israel on April 5, 2025, the first flight from Israel to London will be operated on April 6. Initially, the company will operate a daily flight on the Tel Aviv-London route, and as of April 20, it will increase to two daily flights.

It should be noted that last October, the company announced that it would not return to Israel before the end of March 2025, so the decision to resume flights constitutes a significant vote of confidence in the Israeli aviation market and the security situation.

Just last weekend, the popular aviation giant easyJet announced that it would resume operating flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport starting June 1, 2025.

The return of British Airways and easyJet joins the announcement by the Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, of its return to Israel. The Italian airline ITA also announced its return.
