President Isaac Herzog and his wife prayed today (Sunday) at the Western Wall and left a note there, in the hope that the hostages would be released, especially the three women Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari set to be released today by Hamas.
Watch:
While at the Western Wall, President Herzog and his wife "prayed for the well-being of Romi, Emily and Doron along with all those wounded in body and spirit, for the swift return of all the hostages until the very last one - the living to rehabilitation and their homes and the fallen to burial in Israel, for the success and safety of IDF soldiers and for the elevation of the souls of the murdered and fallen."
President Isaac Herzog: "With God's help, we will see the hostages return today, until the last of them, according to the signed agreement. I wish to express my participation in the pain and embrace from the depths of my heart all the families who are going through very difficult days, as we are in a deal that also releases murderers, but there is no greater mitzvah than the redemption of captives. Amen."
The President left a note saying:
"Our brothers and sisters, the entire house of Israel, who are in distress and captivity; may the Almighty have mercy on them and take them out from distress to relief, from darkness to light, and from captivity to redemption. May it be soon, in our days, and let us say, Amen.”
"A heartfelt prayer for the return of all our kidnapped brothers and sisters to their homeland, every last one of them; for the success and safety of the IDF soldiers and security forces; for the healing of those wounded in body and spirit; for the recovery and unity of the people of Israel; and for the eternal rebuilding of the State of Israel after this great upheaval."
