Hamas announced a short time ago today (Sunday) that the three hostages set to be freed will begin to be transported shortly.

Channel 12 reporter Nir Dvori had previously reported that they were set to be delivered to the Red Cross, a report the Prime Minister's Office denied.

Three female hostages held by Hamas - Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari - are set to be freed today in accordance with the terms of the first phase of the hostage deal agreed upon between Israel and the terrorist group.

In exchange, 90 male and female terrorists will be released from Israeli prisons based on an agreed upon exchange rate. The terrorists are currently being transferred to the main Ofer facility before being released into either Judea and Samaria or the Gaza Strip, according to the Israel Prison Service. They will not be released until the hostages have entered Israel itself.

200 trucks, including a number of fuel trucks, have also entered the Gaza Strip, as part of the Israeli commitment to supply the Strip with 600 trucks a day for the 42-day period of the first phase of the hostage deal.

Multiple MKs both inside and outside the coalition have criticized Israel's consistent policy - done under heavy international and especially American pressure - to allow significant amounts of humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.

They argue that the amount of aid allowed in was not only far beyond the Gaza Strip's actual needs, but that much if not most of it was stolen by Hamas to be resold to the public and supply its terrorist fighters, thus keeping the terrorist group financially intact and well-supplied.

Soroka Hospital has meanwhile announced that it is fully prepared with highly trained staff to receive and treat the incoming hostages based on experience caring for the hostages being released in the previous exchange deal in November 2023.
