IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari issued a statement to the media this morning (Sunday) at 8:30 a.m., in which he referred to the postponement of the ceasefire.
After 9:00 a.m., with the ceasefire signed with Hamas having been violated due to Hamas not having turned over the list of hostages to be released today (Sunday), the IDF Spokesperson reported that "the IDF continues to operate and attack terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. A short while ago, a number of terrorist targets in the northern and central Gaza Strip were attacked by artillery and aircraft fire. The IDF continues to be prepared in defense and attack, and will not allow harm to the security of the residents of the State of Israel."
Hagari referred to the discovery of the body of Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul, saying, "This morning it was allowed to be published that in a special covert operation by the IDF and the Shin Bet, the abducted soldier Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul was rescued from Gaza. Representatives of the Shin Bet and the IDF gave the message to Shaul's family this morning. We embrace the family and share in their grief."
"This is a very significant intelligence and operational effort that has continued over the past decade since his fall and abduction, and even more so during the war and in recent days. The Shin Bet and the IDF worked around the clock, and we worked together for many years to bring the late Oron to be buried in Israel. This is a special operation by special units of the Military Intelligence, Shayetet 13, together with Shin Bet fighters in the field, who in recent days have been working even more intensely in everything that could be done in a complex operational activity to restore the house to burial. During Operation Protective Edge, the soldier Lieutenant Hadar Goldin was also kidnapped, and the IDF and the Shin Bet have been working for years to return him."
Hagari went on to say: "This morning we reiterate that IDF commanders and Shin Bet personnel have a duty to Hadar and his dear family to bring him home for burial. The IDF is deeply committed to returning all the hostages, and the Shin Bet and the IDF will continue to make all efforts to bring all the hostages home, either through operational and intelligence activity or in the framework of an agreement."
Regarding the ceasefire, Hagari said, "We are all looking forward this morning to the implementation of the agreement for the return of the hostages. As of this morning, Hamas is not meeting its commitments, and contrary to the agreement, the names of the abductees have not yet been transferred to the State of Israel. Under the prime minister's directive, the ceasefire will not go into effect as long as Hamas does not meet its commitments. The IDF continues to attack inside the Gaza Strip as long as Hamas does not abide by its commitment to the agreement, with all that it entails."
