The IDF Spokesperson in Arabic, Col. Avichai Edrei, sent an urgent message to the residents of Gaza this evening, confirming the Qatari report that the deal for the hostages will begin tomorrow (Sunday) at 8:30 a.m.
Under the headline "Urgent Message to the Residents of Gaza," Edrei wrote to the residents of Gaza: "Tomorrow the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip will go into effect at 8:30 a.m.
I would like to clarify a number of issues in order to avoid friction and to prevent misunderstandings. We intend to make sure that all the details of the agreement are met.
In accordance with the agreement, IDF forces continue to be stationed in various locations in the Gaza Strip. Avoid approaching IDF forces in the area, as approaching the forces endangers you.
Traffic from the south to the northern Gaza Strip or toward the Netzarim Route remains dangerous due to IDF activity in the area. When it is possible, instructions will be given regarding the safe routes for movement.
You are warned that in the southern Gaza Strip it is extremely dangerous to approach the area of the Rafah crossing, the area of the Philadelphi Route, and all the concentrations of forces."
The IDF Spokesperson went on to clarify that "in the maritime area, throughout the Gaza Strip, there is a high risk to fishermen, swimmers and divers, and they are warned not to enter the sea in the coming days. Do not move toward Israeli territory, and do not approach the buffer zone. Approaching the buffer zone is extremely dangerous," the IDF Spokesperson warns the residents of Gaza.
