Representatives of the Bibas family, which is being held hostage by Hamas and which is reported to be among those to be released in the first stage of the hostage deal, released a statement today (Wednesday) asking that the public not engage in rumors on the matter.
In their statement, the family said that "we are aware of the reports noting that all members of our family are included in the first stage of the agreement and that Shiri and the children are among the first to be released.
"We have gained enough experience and disappointments and therefore there is no end to the story until our loved ones cross the border - don't give a hand to rumors!"
According to a report by N12 News, three hostages will be released on the first day, three on the 14th day, three on the 21st day, three on the 28th day, three on the 35th day, and the remaining 14 hostages - in the last week.
Conflicting reports continue to be reported as to whether the hostage deal has been finalized. Some Palestinian and Arab sources speaking to Arab media say that Hamas and other terrorist groups have decided to support the deal and that it will be finalized today or tomorrow. Other sources say there are still details and matters of disagreement.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated that it has not yet received any official reply from Hamas regarding the deal. According to Channel 12 reporter Amit Segal, the cabinet will convene to give the deal final approval tomorrow if it is finalized today.
If the deal is passed, the IDF will redeploy within the Gaza Strip and observe a ceasefire of a month and a half. During this time, Israel and Hamas will negotiate the terms and conditions for the second and third phase of the hostage deals, which are supposed to lead to the release of the remaining hostages and the end of the war.
