The cabinet will convene tomorrow to give a final stamp of approval to the hostage deal if it is completed today, according to a report today (Wednesday) by Channel 12 reporter Amit Segal.

Multiple Israeli sources said that a deal is very close to being finalized, with a Palestinian source telling Kann News that a "decisive meeting" of the Hamas leadership in Doha led to an ironing out of differences and resolution of problems. According to the source, a deal is expected to be announced tomorrow and will start to be implemented 24-48 hours after that.

According to reports in the Arabic media regarding the hostage deal, 34 hostages will be released in the first stage of the deal in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, including some with life sentences.

A ceasefire of a month and a half will be in place, during which the IDF will redeploy within the Gaza Strip and the two sides will negotiate the terms of the proposed second and third phases of the deal.

According to a report by N12 News, three hostages will be released on the first day, three on the 14th day, three on the 21st day, three on the 28th day, three on the 35th day, and the remaining 14 hostages - in the last week.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office just reported that it has not yet received an official response from Hamas regarding the hostage deal.

As the final efforts to push the hostage deal forward are made, the IDF continues to operate in force in the northern Gaza Strip. The 162nd Division has replaced the Gaza Division, and the IDF Spokesperson in Arabic issued an evacuation map today for the D5 bloc of Jebaliya following rocket fire from there.

According to commanders operating in the northern Gaza Strip, the aim is to entirely extirpate the Hamas presence in the area, including terrorists, weapons, and infrastructure.
