Disaster averted: Two pistols and lots of ammo seized in East Jerusalem

In an operation carried out by detectives from the Jerusalem District Court Station, together with Border Police soldiers, the Public Security Brigade and the dog unit in the Beit Hanina neighborhood in the eastern part of the city, a suspect was arrested after a search of his home found two pistols and weapons.

During the search they found two Glock pistols, loaded with ammunition and many weapons, including: pistol cartridges, M16 weapon cartridges, ammunition of various types of weapons, and weapons accessories. In addition, a set of weapons was seized in the bedroom.

The suspect who was arrested, a resident of Beit Hanina in his 30s, was transferred to a court station for interrogation on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons. Today, the suspect was brought before the court for a hearing on the police's request to extend his detention, and his detention was extended until January 19, 2025, in order to continue the investigation into his case.
