Difficult to Read: These hostages will NOT be released

Beyond the 33 hostages expected to be released in the first phase of the current deal, there are another 22 Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity who are defined as alive. Here are their names and stories in age order, from youngest to oldest.

The emerging hostages for ceasefire deal framework, which has not yet been officially announced, includes the release of 33 hostages in the first phase. It's unclear how many of them are alive. Israeli officials estimated last night that most are still alive.

The BBC reported today, from a senior Hamas source, that three hostages will be released on the first day of the deal, presumably women, as an Israeli diplomatic source briefed last night, and in exchange the IDF will begin withdrawing forces from populated areas in Gaza.

Presented by age:

Tamir Nimrodi. Age 18, kidnapped from the Gaza base where he served, a month before his 19th birthday, with two of his friends – Ron Sherman z"l and Nick Beiser z"l, who were returned for burial in Israel. No sign of life or information about his condition has been received since he was kidnapped.

Nimrod Cohen. Age 20, Corporal. Kidnapped from Tank 3 - where he was with Lt. Omer Neutra z"l, Sgt. Shaked Dahan z"l, and Sgt. Oz Daniel z"l.

Idan Alexander. Age 20, from New Jersey. Made aliyah at age 18 and volunteered for military service in the Golani Brigade. Hamas released a video where he asks for action to be taken for his release.

Rom Braslavsky. Age 21 from Jerusalem, kidnapped from Nova, where he worked as a security guard.

Matan Angrest. Age 22 armor corps soldier from Kiryat Bialik. Kidnapped from Nahal Oz while wounded and unconscious.

Avitar David. Age 23 from Kfar Saba, kidnapped from Nova.

Alon Ohel. Age 23 from Livnon in the Upper Galilee, kidnapped from the "Death Shelter", after participating in the Nova event at Re'im.

Guy Gilboa. Age 23 from Kfar Saba, kidnapped from Nova.

Eitan Mor. Age 24, originally from Kiryat Arba, lived in Jerusalem and was kidnapped from the Re'im party, where he worked as a security guard.

Yosef Chaim Ohana. Age 24 from Kiryat Malachi, kidnapped from Re'im. Helped the wounded at the party and transferred them to medics.

Ariel Cunio. Age 26 from Nir Oz. His brother David also remains in captivity.

Segev Kalfon. Age 26 from Dimona, kidnapped from Nova. Seen in footage being loaded onto a pickup truck by Hamas terrorists.

Gali Berman. Age 27 from Kfar Aza. Twin brother of kidnapped Ziv Berman.

Ziv Berman. Age 27 from Kfar Aza, kidnapped with his twin brother from the young generation neighborhood.

Avinatan Or. Age 31 from Tel Aviv, kidnapped with Noa Argamani from the Re'im party. The kidnapping footage became viral after the attack.

David Cunio. Age 33 from Nir Oz. Kidnapped with his wife Sharon Aloni Cunio and daughters Yuli and Emma (who returned in previous deal).

Elkana Bohbot. Age 35 from Mevaseret Zion, kidnapped from Re'im party. During the massacre he helped treat and evacuate the wounded.

Maxim Harkin. Age 35 from Tirat Carmel, kidnapped from Nova.

Eitan Horn. Age 38 from Kfar Saba, kidnapped from Nir Oz, with his brother Yair.

Omri Miran. Age 46 from Nahal Oz.

Bar Kuperstein. Age unknown. Kidnapped from Nova party where he worked as a security guard. A video showed him bound at hands and feet, no further information received.

As stated, this list is of Israelis defined as alive. Besides them, there are 36 hostages defined as casualties whose bodies are still held by Hamas. Additionally, there are nine foreigners in captivity, mostly Thai nationals kidnapped from border communities.
