A number of interception fragments were identified this morning (Monday) in private homes in Israel following the launch of a missile from Yemen at around 3 a.m., which caused sirens to sound throughout central Israel.

The missile was apparently intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system, but the fragments caused damage to property and miraculously no casualties.

In Tzur Hadassah and Mevo Beitar in the Judean sector, there were reports of hits in private homes of residents this morning. Police officers at the scene are working to isolate the crash sites.

Police sappers from the Jerusalem District are on their way to the scenes in order to deal with the items. The police ask all residents to refrain from gathering in the areas of the fall in order to avoid endangering lives and unnecessary bodily harm and so as not to interfere with the work of the sappers and police officers at the scene.

Medical teams were dispatched to treat 11 people who were injured on the way to a protected area and 4 people suffering from anxiety. United Hatzalah said that following the sirens, several calls have been received so far about trauma victims without physical injuries.
