Hamas's combat methods revealed

Uncovered: Hamas uses this tactic to trap IDF soldiers

Fighters battling in northern Gaza Strip in Beit Hanoun describe Hamas's combat methods: "Beit Hanoun is wired with cameras in every corner, they activate explosives while in tunnels against the forces on the ground, and as soon as there are casualties, they come out to shoot at the forces."

Fighters battling in Beit Hanoun, in the northern Gaza Strip, where ten fighters fell just last week, describe to Almog Boker the combat conditions and provide testimony from the battlefield.

"We are fighting against cameras, some of which are very sophisticated, whose operation is intelligent. The terrorists in the tunnels choose what to activate on the ground. They detect movement in the cameras; if it's a drone, they don't activate it, if it's a force – they activate the explosives."

The fighters added: "The terrorists operate in a tunnel system that functions entirely underground, there is no identification of the enemy on the ground, they are deep in the tunnels and do not need to come up to fight face to face."

According to the fighters on the ground, there have been no visible terrorists on the surface for a week and a half, but there is a battle taking place in the tunnels.

They further noted: "The Hamas organization has equipped all of Beit Hanoun with vast quantities of explosives and air force remnants, so that in every alley and intersection – the most advanced cameras are installed. Thermal cameras that see 360 degrees and with smart operation, the terrorists choose what to activate and what not to."

Additionally, the fighters testify that the method of operation employed after the detonation of an explosive device and the declaration of a mass casualty event (MCE) is that the terrorists emerge and shoot at the rescue forces.

Alongside this, Boker notes that 30 explosives were neutralized in the past few days in Beit Hanoun, and it should be emphasized that the terrorists have nowhere to escape, the IDF is encircling them from one side in Beit Lahia and from the other in Jabalia.

And he adds: "We need to pay attention to one more fact: after ten days of rocket fire from the north of the Strip, since Monday there has been no rocket fire, mainly due to depletion of stock. And the terrorists cannot return to the places they fled from, like last time."
