Hamas' Bold Demand Rejected: "It Will Not Happen, Period"

Report: Israel will NOT release Barghouti OR Sinwar's Body in the upcoming hostage deal

Recent reports suggesting that Hamas demanded the release of Yahya Sinwar's body as part of the ongoing hostage deal have been firmly denied by a political source. The source clarified that Israel would not transfer Sinwar's body to Hamas under any circumstances, stating unequivocally, "It will not happen, period."

Barghouti or Sinwar's Body Are Off the Table as final Hostage Deal announcement expected within a day.

This clarification came after a report in Al-Hadath newspaper, which mentioned that Hamas had requested the transfer of Sinwar's body as part of the first phase of the deal. However, the political source emphasized that this demand was not on the table, confirming that Sinwar's body would not be part of the negotiations.

Arab media reports suggest that the announcement of the ceasefire and hostage deal is expected within the next 24 hours. According to Al-Hadath, Israel has submitted a list of prisoners to be released as part of the deal, but notorious terrorist Marwan Barghouti is not included on the list.

A senior Hamas official confirmed that significant progress has been made in the negotiations, and Hamas expects the release of prisoners soon. The deal is reportedly structured in two phases, each lasting 42 days. However, one of the contentious issues in the agreement is Israel's demand to establish a two-kilometer buffer zone in the north and east of Gaza.

Hamas Issues Internal Directive Amidst Hostage Negotiations

In the midst of ongoing negotiations, sources within Hamas have reported that the leadership issued strict instructions to field commanders and military operatives to avoid public appearances and minimize movement. This measure comes as a precautionary response to fears that Israel may attempt to carry out targeted assassinations ahead of the potential ceasefire. Hamas leaders have been directed to limit their public visibility unless urgent security matters dictate otherwise.
