Tamar Edri, a resident of the northern city of Nahariya, died today (Sunday) of wounds she sustained from a Hezbollah projectile which hit her two months ago during IDF operations in southern Lebanon.

The city of Nahariya announced that "we have been informed with great pain of the death of city resident Tamar Edri, who was critically wounded by a rocket striking her home on Jabotinsky street, in a salvo fired towards the city during the Swords of Iron war two months ago, and who had been fighting in the hospital for her life since.

"In the name of the residents of the city of Nahariya, the mayor, the city council members, the city's management and workers, we wish to send sincere condolences and a warm hug to her husband Yossi, her children Yarden, Sagit, Oshrat, and Liron, to her grandchildren, and to her whole family."

Edri's funeral will be scheduled later.

According to Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh, 130 Israelis were killed in the war with Hezbollah started on October 8. 46 of them were civilians, hit by projectiles which broke through the IDF's layered anti-missile and anti-drone defenses. The worst of these was the attack on Majdal Shams, which killed 12 minors and children.

34 of those killed were IDF soldiers killed during the limited conflict between the IDF and Hezbollah, when the two forces exchanged long-distance blows, with the IDF using artillery, air and drone strikes against Hezbollah targets, and Hezbollah using rockets and anti-tank missiles against the IDF and civilian targets.

The remaining 50 were IDF soldiers killed during the ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, in which IDF forces dealt a serious blow to Hezbollah's rocket and weapons arsenal and killed between 3-4,000 terrorists (including thousands more wounded, including critically), according to IDF estimates.
