Iran has made an agreement with the Kurdish YPG/PKK to supply it 1,500 suicide drones, with the aim of destabilizing Syria and countering Turkey's military activity in the region, according to the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak.

According to the report, the meeting between Iranian representatives and representatives of the Kurdish organization took place in a market in Iraq, where the Kurds demanded to receive 2,000 drones. However, Iran has made it clear that it will only be able to supply 1,500 units.

Despite the agreement between the parties, the shipment is delayed due to close monitoring by Turkey and the threat that it will intercept any attempt to transfer drones into Syrian territory.

Due to Turkish pressure, the YPG/PKK has begun to work on an alternative strategy that includes moving the drones in parts, in order to make it difficult to locate them. However, the success of this plan remains doubtful, given Turkey's continued activity in the border area.
