\Following the deadly incident in which four IDF soldiers from the Nahal Brigade fell due to an explosive device in Beit Hanoun, Channel 14's military commentator Noam Amir sharply criticized the IDF's conduct in the Gaza Strip, claiming that "if we do not conquer the northern Gaza Strip, we will never win this war."
According to Amir, the forces operate in the Beit Hanoun area as if it were a completely cleared area, which allows the terrorists to take advantage of the weak points: "The terrorists learned the method. There are only one or two paved paths that our fighters use. All you need is to set up explosives in the dark of night, hide among the rubble, and as soon as our forces pass, just press a button."
The military commentator sharply criticized Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi's combat strategy: "The chief of staff, who has failed miserably, continues to insist on acting in the same way which has led to failure. Instead of bringing the 98th Division into the Gaza Strip, we are trying a deal that is not moving in any direction."
