Beneath the mountains: Iran's secret missile base comes to light
IRGC reveals site tied to attacks on Israel, showcasing cutting-edge missile capabilities.

In a bold move, Iran revealed an underground missile base for the first time on Friday during a broadcast on state television. The facility, situated in an undisclosed mountainous area, was showcased as the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, toured the site.
The broadcast claimed the base had been used to launch missile strikes against Israel, with the semi-official Mehr News Agency reporting its role in attacks carried out in April and October of last year.
During an IRGC event, Salami announced that the force is advancing its missile capabilities by developing a new generation of advanced weapons, aiming to bolster Iran’s defensive strategies.
This announcement coincided with the airing of the footage, which came mere hours after a large military parade in Tehran. The parade featured thousands of IRGC members and Basij militia fighters, and, according to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, included an elaborate drill involving 110,000 Basij reservists.
