The IDF disclosed today that it has conducted approximately 110 airstrikes in Judea and Samaria since the outbreak of war on October 7, resulting in the elimination of at least 165 armed militants who posed threats to Israeli forces.
In a detailed report, the military spokesperson's unit highlighted their ongoing joint operations with the Shin Bet security service, specifically targeting terrorist infrastructure across Judea and Samaria. The operations, they emphasize, are conducted under strict protocols to minimize civilian casualties and comply with international law.
The report specifically detailed three recent incidents where militants allegedly used mosques as bases for attacks. In Jenin's Al-Jabriat Mosque, forces discovered a shooting range and training area in the lower floor following a November 19 firefight. Dozens of shell casings were found near windows, evidence of attacks on Israeli forces the previous night.
A second incident involved the Khalid Ibn Walid Mosque, also in Jenin, where aerial surveillance identified multiple armed individuals firing at Israeli forces. In Tulkarem, militants were observed throwing explosive devices from the roof of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque toward IDF personnel during a December 25 operation.
The IDF emphasized that these incidents represent a pattern of militants using civilian infrastructure, including mosques, hospitals, and educational institutions, for militant activities.
This cynical exploitation of religious sites not only violates international law but shows a complete disregard for human life. These militants are willing to turn places of worship into battlegrounds, endangering their own communities while trying to harm Israeli forces.
