The attack on Koresh Street in Jerusalem: The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment in the Jerusalem District Court against Nabil Shaabani, a 60-year-old resident of Jerusalem, who attempted to murder an elderly woman in her home and robbed her belongings three weeks ago. The prosecution requests the court to order the defendant's detention until the legal proceedings against him are concluded.

According to the indictment, the defendant worked as a cleaner in the building where the elderly woman lived in Jerusalem. In addition to cleaning, the defendant used to make repairs and renovations in the elderly woman's home. The day before the attack, the defendant began repairing an internal door in the elderly woman's home and planned to return the next day to complete the work.

The attack on Koresh Street: He returned to her home after choking and stabbing her.

On the morning of the attack, after watching the news about the situation in Gaza following the Iron Swords War, the defendant decided to carry out an attack for nationalistic motives by murdering a Jew. The defendant arrived at the elderly woman's house, finished the repair, and decided to murder her and rob her belongings. He strangled her for a long time, and after believing he had caused her death, he robbed her of her jewelry and money, and fled the scene.

During his escape, the defendant returned to the elderly woman's house after realizing he had forgotten his walking stick. There, he noticed that the elderly woman had recovered and was standing. At this point, he strangled her again, stabbed her in the neck and chest with a knife, and caused her severe injuries, including rib fractures, internal bleeding, and organ damage.

After the attack, the defendant sold some of the stolen jewelry at a jewelry store in Jerusalem and fled to Ramallah, where he destroyed evidence by breaking the knife and throwing it away, along with the remaining jewelry, in a bag he discarded near a bus station. As a result of the attack, the elderly woman was taken to the hospital suffering from severe injuries, including head trauma, stab wounds to the neck and chest, and broken ribs. The indictment charges the defendant with committing acts of terrorism, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, and obstruction of justice.
