5 ballistic missiles and 4 drones from Yemen were intercepted in the last two weeks - since the last Israeli strike in Yemen. After 4 days without Houthi attacks, they returned to launch towards our territory this evening.
The Air Force intercepted 2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Yemen. One was intercepted in the central Negev and two others in the Mediterranean Sea. Israel's last strike in Yemen was two weeks ago.
And again, the Houthis are testing Israel with the launch of drones.
In the evening hours, a Red Alert was activated in the borders, near Tze'elim. IDF Spokesperson: The Air Force intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle launched from the east a short while ago. Alerts were activated according to policy.
About half an hour later, another UAV was intercepted over the sea, and therefore no alerts were activated: "The Air Force recently intercepted another unmanned aerial vehicle in the Mediterranean Sea, which was apparently launched from Yemen. No alerts were activated, according to policy." About an hour later, another UAV was intercepted in the Mediterranean Sea that did not enter Israeli territory. In total, three launches were intercepted.
Two weeks have passed since Israel's last attack in Yemen, and it seems that the Houthis continue to try and provoke. In the past week, several ballistic missiles have been launched towards the central region, along with several UAVs, and so far, there has been no Israeli response.
In recent weeks, the international coalition, mainly the Americans, has attacked targets in Sana'a and the port of Hodeidah. Meanwhile, these strikes have not stopped the firing towards Israel.
Earlier today, the IDF published data on the firing from Yemen. Since the beginning of the war, about 40 ballistic missiles (ground-to-ground) have been launched from Yemen, and the air defense fighters intercepted most of the missiles that approached Israeli territory. So far, one impact has been identified, in addition to two partial interceptions that led to debris falling in the area. The rest of the launches did not reach Israel and crashed along the way.
Additionally, about 320 UAVs were launched into Israeli territory, of which over 100 were intercepted by the Air Force. So far, two effective hits have been identified.
