The IDF said that it has intercepted some 320 drones and 40 ballistic missiles fired by Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen since the beginning of the war.

According to its statistics, it has intercepted most of the projectiles fired at the country before entering its airspace and territory, with only a small number of failures, whose lessons they say they have learned.

These few failures include a successful drone strike at Tel Aviv which came at the city via the Mediterranean Sea, and a missile which evaded Israel's missile defenses and destroyed a school building in Ramat Gan in the early hours of the morning.

Houthi forces have been enforcing a blockade of any shipping even remotely related to Israel since the beginning of the war and have since expanded that blockade to include any shipping related to the United States and the United Kingdom.

The United States has an allied naval task force in the Red Sea under Operation Prosperity Guardian aimed at defending shipping from Houthi attacks. At first, it operated solely defensively, shooting and blowing up drones and projectiles fired at the forces or ships.

The allied forces have since ramped up their attacks to conduct multiple strikes on missile sites of all kinds and strategic parts of Yemenite ports under Houthi control.

Israel has also conducted multiple air strikes against Houthi strategic targets, including the airport in the capital of Sana'a and the ports of Houdeidah and Ras Isa.

Despite these efforts, Houthi leaders have remained defiant and insist they will maintain both the shipping blockade and its attacks on Israel until the war ends in Gaza and the blockade of the Strip is fully lifted.

Israel, for its part, has said that it still has many capabilities it has not yet used against the Houthis.
