As of yesterday (Wednesday), Israeli citizens must fill out an entry application through the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) system before visiting the UK. The requirement applies to tourists who wish to stay in the country for up to six months, except for those with British or Irish citizenship.

The application process is carried out online and includes payment. The British Embassy recommends that you keep an eye on updates on the official website, especially for non-Israeli passport holders, who may also be required to comply with this process in the future.

In addition, in 2025, the ETIAS system is expected to come into effect in the European Union, which will require citizens of visa-exempt countries, such as Israel, to fill out an online form and obtain approval before traveling to Schengen countries.
