Israel at war: It has been permitted to publish that Nevo Fisher, a 20-year-old resident of the settlement of Bruchin in Samaria, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Fisher was a tank commander in the 46th Battalion, Iron Tracks Division (401).
Nevo is survived by his parents, Yaron and Ayelet Fisher, and three siblings. He grew up in Bruchin, with his parents being among the founders of the settlement. Upon receiving the tragic news, professional teams from the Samaria Regional Council and the Bruchin settlement are accompanying the family.
The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, eulogized him: "A heavy mourning has once again fallen upon Samaria. Nevo, may God avenge him, the hero and the saint, is the 26th fallen in the Iron Swords War in the council. He fell in a war more just than any other and gave his soul for the people and the land. Nevo was the son of pioneering parents, the first family in the settlement of Bruchin, pioneers who built the land, idealists, devoted, and he absorbed from them Zionism and love for the land. We will accompany the family in all their needs. The entire Samaria family mourns and embraces the Fischer family."
"The barbaric enemy, unfortunately, has not yet been defeated, but we are determined to win this war," he added. "This is a severe disaster, but they will never break us. We support the IDF, we support the decision-makers – they will win the war, both in the south, in the north, and in Judea and Samaria."
Nevo Fisher was killed by explosives detonated on tanks in the northern Gaza Strip, alongside two other IDF soldiers whose names were released earlier this evening: Staff Sergeant Matityahu Yaakov Perl, 22, from Beit El, and Staff Sergeant Kano Kasa, 22, from Beit Shemesh. Additionally, in the incident, a tank officer from the 46th Battalion, Iron Tracks Division (401), was seriously injured. The IDF stated that the officer was evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and his family has been notified.
In the past week, 6 IDF fighters fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. The day before yesterday, it was reported that Sergeant Major Ido Shamiakh, 20, from Ganei Tikva, fell in battle in the northern part of the Strip, and the day before that, two fighters from the elite company of the 932nd Battalion in the Nahal Brigade fell: the company commander, Dvir Zion Revach, and his deputy, Eitan Israel Shkenazi.
