Hours after being filmed jubilantly handing out baklava in celebration of yesterday's deadly shooting near Kedumim, Palestinian media reported that IDF forces raided the home of Munther Khatatba from Beit Furik village and arrested him. Images later circulated on Palestinian social media showing the suspect blindfolded after his capture.
The arrest follows Monday's terror attack on Route 55 in Samaria, between Kedumim and Karnei Shomron, where gunmen opened fire on a bus and other vehicles near the Palestinian village of Al-Funduq.
Three Israelis were killed and nine others wounded. Among the victims was Sergeant First Class Elad Yaakov Winkelstein, 36, a police investigator killed while his son was in the car; Aliza Reiss, 70, an educational counselor from Kedumim; and Rachel Cohen, 73, also from Kedumim, a mother of five who worked as an educational counselor. A group calling itself "The Lone Wolf in Palestine" claimed responsibility for the attack.
