Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan addressed the threats of incoming U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that if hostages are not released before he takes office, the Middle East will turn into hell.

According to a report on the 'Walla' website, Hamdan spoke at a conference held in Algeria to support the Palestinians, and claimed that he "does not believe in Secretary Blinken's statements that an agreement can be reached within two weeks." Regarding Trump's threats, he said: "You don't threaten hell to Palestinians who are already in hell," he claimed.

Hamdan added that they have specific goals in the negotiations with Israel: "Today, a round of talks is taking place, and I do not wish to go into details as these details can go in any direction at any moment because it is a negotiation. From the beginning of the negotiations until now, there have been clear goals that we are striving to achieve: a complete cessation of aggression on the Gaza Strip, a complete withdrawal from the territories occupied, the provision of humanitarian aid and reconstruction without Israeli conditions, and a prisoner exchange deal that will bring back members of the Palestinian people from prison."

Hamdallah noted that "the Hamas delegation to the negotiations, which operates in accordance with the decisions of the Hamas leadership, is making efforts to achieve these goals, and we are committed to protecting our people and therefore insist on a complete ceasefire. We are also committed to preventing the return of aggression and therefore insist on a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip."

Regarding Blinken's statement that it would be possible to reach an agreement within two weeks, Hamdan said: "The American Secretary of State has only a few days left in office. Over the past 15 months, he has participated in the crime of extermination alongside Israel. I do not believe his statements, and I think they are aimed at the American public to save the situation of the Democrats in the U.S. after they participated in the crime of the massacre in the Gaza Strip."
