The IDF announced that the Deputy Commander of the U.S. Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, landed in Israel last week (Thursday) for a visit as the official guest of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Amir Baram.
The Deputy Chief of Staff and the Deputy Commander of CENTCOM visited several Air Force bases, including the "Negev" base, where a capabilities review and a presentation of joint operational activities between the armies took place. Additionally, a joint discussion was held regarding activities against threats from Yemen and cooperation with the United States Army in the overall defense umbrella for the State of Israel and the Middle East.
Later, they heard a strategic briefing led by the Chief of Air Force Staff, Brigadier General Omer Tishler, the commander of Nevatim Air Base, and other commanders.
Additionally, the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Deputy Commander of CENTCOM visited Division 80, where the main operational activities, changes in the enemy at the borders, and influential power factors in the sector were presented. As part of the visit, a joint situational assessment was conducted with an emphasis on the second and third circles. The commanders also visited the Northern Command, held a joint situational review, and met with officials from the joint enforcement mechanism.
In the IDF, they note that they will continue to deepen the relationship with the United States Army out of a commitment to strengthening regional stability and coordination between the armies.
