The IDF Spokesperson's Unit has cleared for publication that Staff Sgt. Ido Samiach, a team sergeant in the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit, was killed in combat in northern Gaza.

This announcement follows yesterday's losses of Major Dvir Zion Revah, 28, from Jerusalem, a company commander in the 932nd Battalion, and Captain Eitan Israel Shiknazi, 24, from Eli, a deputy company commander in the same battalion. Both were killed by an anti-tank missile in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza.

Rabbi Gershon Schnor, the Chabad emissary in Ganei Tikva, shared a poignant memory of Samiach: "With deep sorrow, we mourn the fall of Ido Samiach, son of our dear friends Uri and Ofra. Ido was a modest, principled young man who visited our Chabad House after his previous deployment in Gaza, where he recited Birkat HaGomel blessing. Tragically, he has now fallen in Gaza defending our people and land."

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 12:00 PM in the military section of the Savyon Cemetery.
