A 10-year-old boy is fighting for his life at Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva after a severe choking incident during breakfast this morning (Tuesday).
Emergency responders rushed to the family home before 7 AM after receiving reports of an unconscious child. Upon arrival, they found the boy without vital signs.
"When we reached the scene, the child had no pulse and wasn't breathing," said Itzik Yanai, a senior paramedic with MDA, Israel's national emergency medical service. "We immediately initiated advanced life support protocols."
Medical teams performed emergency procedures at the scene before transporting the child to Soroka Medical Center. The ambulance crew continued resuscitation efforts during transport.
"The patient received continuous CPR, ventilation, and emergency medications throughout the journey to the hospital," Yanai added. Hospital officials describe the boy's condition as critical.
