Major Dvir Zion Revah fell in Gaza battle

28-year-old commander of the 932 battalion remembered for his leadership in the Nahal Brigade

The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed that Major Dvir Zion Revah, 28, from Jerusalem, was killed in action during combat in the northern Gaza Strip.

Major Revah served as a Company Commander in the 932 Battalion of the Nahal Brigade. He fell in battle alongside his deputy, Captain Eitan Israel Shiknazi. Two additional soldiers were severely injured during the same engagement.

A respected leader and soldier, Revah will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. local time at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem.

On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces announced that Captain Eitan Israel Shiknazi, 24, was killed in combat in Gaza.

Captain Shiknazi, a resident of the town of Eli in the Binyamin region, was married to Hallel and a graduate of the prestigious Bnei David pre-military academy.

His passing marks a devastating milestone for Eli, as he becomes the tenth soldier from the town to fall since the war began.
