Reports of a renewed deployment of the Lebanese army in positions within the municipality of Nakoura in the western sector of the southern region of the country, accompanied by UNIFIL forces, have emerged. This is the first such deployment since the ceasefire, as reported today (Monday) on Walla.

It was also reported that in the coming days, the IDF will fully withdraw from the village of Nakoura and hand over responsibility to the Lebanese army under American supervision. Additionally, the Americans are expected to take control of the crossing, defined as a strategic point, committing to the full deployment of the Lebanese army and control, pushing Hezbollah out, and under U.S. supervision.

In the IDF, they clarify that aside from this area, Israel will not necessarily leave Lebanese territory after 60 days. Security officials have warned that if the Lebanese army does not fulfill its duty in the southern part of the country and enforce the ceasefire agreement, the IDF will not be in a hurry to withdraw.

We remind you that the IDF repeatedly identifies attempts by Hezbollah to violate the ceasefire agreement.
