Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, arrived today (Monday) at the site of the terrorist shooting attack in Samaria, where he conducted a situational assessment and initial investigation with the commander of the Central Command, the commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, and other senior officers.
Halevi said that "It was a severe terrorist attack. Two civilians and a police officer were killed. I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving families."
He then went on to say that "we are in an intense and broad war against terror in Judea and Samaria, and we will intensify and continue this war. For the terrorists who carried out this attack, the clock will start counting down. We will find out who carried out this terrorist attack, and we will get to them."
Prime Minister Netanyahu conducted a situational assessment earlier today, where he approved a series of defensive and offensive operations against terrorists throughout Judea and Samaria.
The security cabinet is also set to convene tomorrow to discuss further anti-terrorism steps in the area.
