In Meithalun, security forces neutralized an armed terrorist suspected of terror activity. The terrorist, identified as Hassan Raba'iya, a former Palestinian Authority intelligence officer, attempted to flee and fired at Israeli forces. In response, undercover Border Police officers returned fire, neutralizing Raba'iya. Two handguns were found on his body.
Further investigation at Raba'iya’s residence uncovered a shotgun, pipe bombs, gun parts, and NIS 96,000 in cash. In addition, Israeli forces discovered and destroyed an explosives manufacturing lab located on the property.
Throughout the night, security forces continued their counterterrorism efforts across several areas in the Central Command. In the Judea and Etzion Regional Brigades, eight wanted suspects were arrested. In Iktaba, two suspects were taken into custody, and two more were apprehended in Aqabat Jabr. These suspects, along with the seized weapons, were handed over to the relevant security authorities for further processing.
During another operation in Akta'a, part of the Menashe Brigade, two more wanted individuals were arrested, contributing to a continued crackdown on terrorism in the region. Despite the intensity of these operations, no injuries to Israeli forces were reported.
The overnight operations highlight the ongoing efforts of Israeli security forces to address terrorist threats and neutralize potential risks across the West Bank. The confiscated weapons and detained suspects are now under investigation, with security forces continuing to monitor and respond to emerging threats.
