An Israeli woman has died in a tragic safari accident in Tanzania, with five family members sustaining injuries after their tour vehicle overturned during an expedition. Inbar Gridinger-Gisler, who was in her thirties, was identified as the victim of the incident.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, airlifting the surviving family members to a nearby hospital. They reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident, the cause of which remains under investigation.
Israeli diplomatic officials have quickly mobilized to assist the family in this difficult time. The Foreign Ministry's Department for Israelis Abroad, working in conjunction with the Israeli consul in Nairobi, is coordinating with local authorities and medical teams on the ground.
As reported by Ynet, "Miri Zelikha Gefen, head of the Health and Overseas Claims Department at Harel Insurance, said, "Following the unfortunate accident in Tanzania, Harel has decided to immediately send an Israeli doctor to provide prompt and optimal medical care to the insured."
Arrangements are currently being made to repatriate Gridinger-Gisler's body to Israel for burial in the coming days.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry continues to monitor the situation and provide necessary support to the affected family members as they recover from this devastating incident.
