“Our patience is tied to our decision on the right time to respond to any violations,” Qassem stated. He emphasized that Hezbollah's leadership will determine when to act, asserting that the ceasefire agreement requires Israel to withdraw from areas south of the Litani River. According to Qassem, the Lebanese state is responsible for ensuring the terms of the ceasefire are upheld.
Hezbollah’s leader also took the opportunity to highlight the resistance group's successes in defending Lebanese territory. "Israel attempted to advance within our lands for 64 days but only managed to move a few hundred meters," Qassem said. "Israel failed to make significant progress due to the strength of the resistance. Our forces are strong, deterrent, and effective, disrupting Israel’s objectives despite the heavy destruction and aggression they have inflicted.”
Looking ahead, Israel is expected to notify the United States that it will not be withdrawing from Lebanon at the end of the 60-day ceasefire, as specified in the agreement. The reason, according to Israeli sources, is that the Lebanese army has not met the conditions of the ceasefire, and Hezbollah continues to reorganize its forces in the region.
