Iran's Foreign Minister warned his country believes Israel might launch another attack, saying such a move would trigger an all-out regional war. Speaking to Chinese television over the weekend, he tried to discourage any Israeli military action while acknowledging Iran is bracing for possible strikes.
"We're fully prepared for more Israeli attacks," the minister said in his interview. "But I hope Israel avoids rash decisions that could spark a full-scale war." He stressed Iran prefers diplomacy and is staying in contact with regional countries and "friendly nations" like China.
In related news, a dramatic incident unfolded in Beirut where authorities seized an Iranian plane reportedly carrying funds for Hezbollah.
The Iranian minister also complained about foreign powers meddling in Middle Eastern affairs and the growing tensions over the past 18 months. On nuclear talks, he claimed Tehran is ready to resume negotiations immediately without conditions.
