After the ongoing coalition upheavals with Minister Ben Gvir, the resignation of former Defense Minister Yoav Galant from the Knesset, and the expected return of Gideon Sa'ar to the party ranks, Likud members are revving their engines in preparation for the possibility of elections and primaries, with some even aiming for the day after Netanyahu.
Sources close to Likud and members of the party's mechanisms received an SMS this evening with a surprising poll, which seems like the first preparation for possible primaries within Likud, including a contest for the party leadership.
Moreover, the primary poll continues and examines the status of the party's members themselves, attempting to discern which of the current Knesset members will strengthen or weaken in the upcoming primaries.
The survey itself was probably commissioned by a Likud member from the list of 12 candidates to replace Netanyahu, in case he chooses to resign from his position as the party leader. After all, a Knesset member who is not interested in running for the position has very few reasons to include this question in the survey's content.
