PIJ has thoughts on the hostage deal, wants control of Gaza
This is how the Islamic Jihad responded to the proposal for the release of hostages
The Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, Muhammad al-Hindi, revealed today the organization's response to the proposed hostage deal and even claimed that relations with Hamas have strengthened since the massacre.

In an interview with the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadid, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, Muhammad Al-Hindi, revealed today (Sunday) his opinion regarding the proposed hostage deal and also addressed his stance on the "day after the war" in Gaza.
"The Jihad Movement is an essential part of the discussions on halting the aggression against our people in Gaza within the framework of the prisoner exchange deal. It is true that Hamas is authorized to negotiate, but consultations with the movement are ongoing. Last week, lengthy meetings were held with Hamas leaders in Cairo to discuss halting the aggression and the exchange deal," Al-Hindi said in his interview.
Here, the senior official referred to the organization's position regarding the IDF's presence in the Philadelphi Route and Nitzana, and presented a stance different from Hamas, which has already agreed to compromise on the matter, and claimed that this is an entirely unacceptable situation.
"On the day after the war, we will not accept any situation other than total control of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza." Additionally, according to Al-Hindi, the connection between the two organizations has strengthened significantly since the massacre, and they see eye to eye on the organization's actions.
