October 7th victims family blocked from recordings of their daughters murder

Why lie? Murdered observer's father rages "They told us the command post caught fire and there are no recordings"

The father of the late observer Roni Eshl sent a message to the Minister of Defense regarding the decision to play the recordings for the families and cried out about the injustice done: "I have no trust in the IDF, they concealed, covered up, hid, and lied, from the first day they said there were no recordings, that the command post caught fire, am I an idiot?"

The recording of the lookout soldiers on October 7. former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant instructed the IDF to transfer the full recording materials from the Nahal Oz outpost to the families of the lookout soldiers, some of whom were murdered on October 7.

Eyal Eshal, the father of the late observer Roni Eshal, was interviewed on Radio 103fm, welcomed the minister's decision, and said: "I hope this saga will end. I want to receive everything; that is my basic right today. I think that in the end, until now, not everything has come out, and the voice has not come out. What we received a week ago was a meager, empty portion, and then they stood up on their hind legs again."

Eshl also added to Audi Eshl and Anat Davidov: "I want to hear the entire raid procedure – from 6:28 onwards. I know Roni was on duty, and she performed there in an unparalleled manner. Even if it wasn't pleasant for the gentlemen in the IDF, I don't care whether it was pleasant for them or not, the situation has reached a disgusting level. I hope that we will indeed receive the complete recordings. There's no one wiser than the experienced, and we are currently on the way, and we will know how to be wise in a few hours, we'll see."

According to Eshl, "I am ready to deal with everything, but be fair. Honor the memory of the fallen who are not with us here today. This relates to the soldier who was killed in Lebanon along with the archaeologist, to the captives who were killed by IDF fire. There are so many issues that make you ask yourself: why is it like this? Why is there no transparency? I am ready to deal with everything. I would have kept quiet if I had heard someone apologize and say: 'We are busy, we will sit with all of you and you will hear everything.' To do it in the dark? To conceal, to cover up, to hide, mainly to lie. Almost from the first day, they told us there are no recordings, and that the command post burned down. I said I am not stupid."

"The heavens are crying today with us, and they are filled with clouds," said Eshkol, referring to a policy that he sees as a systematic concealment by the military: "Release everything you have, and release it to the families, even the difficult moments, even the last moments, yes."

When asked about his trust in the army, Eshal replied: "The trust is not partial or negligible, it is zero trust. Nahal Oz was a destruction zone, and they knew for years and years that the Nahal Oz base was a destruction zone. There are a few such areas in the State of Israel, and they simply don't talk about them. 'Destruction zone' is an official definition in the IDF for a situation where the enemy observes Israeli citizens, and it is controlled. That's how it happened that I traveled to the destruction zone once every two weeks to bring and take Roni. That's the situation."

And finally, he conveyed: "I made it clear beyond any doubt that we will not sit in silence for a single minute until we receive all the recordings as expected, in memory of my Roni and the other girls."
