In light of the stalled negotiations regarding the hostage deal, Hamas is proposing a one-week ceasefire without the release of hostages this evening (Tuesday), and at the end of the fourth day, Hamas will provide a list of hostages it is able to release, as Israel demands, as reported by Kan 11.
According to foreign sources, Hamas is not conditioning the ceasefire on the withdrawal of IDF forces from the Strip and the return of displaced Gazans to their homes.
According to them, Israel will decide by the end of the seventh day whether it agrees to the list of hostages that Hamas will provide. If not – the IDF will return to fighting.
Last night (Monday), a source involved in the negotiations for the release of the hostages addressed the main remaining dispute between Hamas and Israel on Kan 11. According to the report, Israel and Hamas agreed that 34 hostages would be released, but the terrorist organization refuses to accept 12 names on the Israeli list and insists on replacing them with bodies.
We remind you that a few days ago, it was reported that a senior official in the Hamas terrorist organization stated that his organization submitted a list of living hostages with whom contact can be made through the militants guarding them. According to the report, brought by Kan News, the source noted that following consultations with the leadership of the Palestinian factions holding the hostages, it became clear that it is difficult to contact all the militants.
According to the senior official, the difficulty in contacting those terrorists is due to the security situation in the Gaza Strip. Therefore, the Hamas terrorist organization announced during the negotiations for a hostage deal that the organization would be willing to provide a complete list of the living hostages only after a ceasefire and when the situation allows it.
