Following the recommendation of the National Headquarters for Economic Warfare against Terrorism, and as part of a general effort against Hezbollah, Defense Minister Israel Katz declared the imposition of sanctions against crowdfunding efforts meant to help victims of the exploding pagers and walkie talkies which maimed thousands of terrorists months ago.
The campaign, which used a range of platforms including credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal, raised tens of thousands of dollars so far, which will be used to help Hezbollah maintain and rebuild its capabilities after the war.
Defense Minister Katz said that "we are working on every possible front to dry up Hezbollah's sources of funding while it tries to rebuild its capabilities. Every dollar which does not reach Hezbollah is another step on the path to weakening the organization."
