Hadassah Hospital said today (Monday) that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is recovering from his prostate surgery and is doing well. He is expected to be sent back home in a few days.

The surgery took place under general anesthesia in a fortified bunker protected from missile fire in case terrorists fired at the Jerusalem area during the surgery.

During the time that the Prime Minister was under, Justice Minister Yariv Levin served as acting Prime Minister and Defense Minister Israel Katz served as chairman of the cabinet, with the power to convene the government if necessary.

Due to Netanyahu's surgery, his further testimony in his trial was postponed for the week.
