After Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed last week that Israel was responsible for eliminating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, new and dramatic details are now emerging about the assassination in the heart of Tehran, which is considered one of the most complex operations ever conducted by the Mossad.

In Channel 12 news, new details were revealed last night about the assassination operation, which included planting an explosive device in Haniyeh's room, the malfunctioning air conditioner that nearly disrupted everything, and who was the first to see Haniyeh lying on the floor lifeless.

According to the report on Channel 12 News, the operation was planned down to the last detail. Contrary to initial assessments, which suggested that Haniya was eliminated by a missile fired into his room, a large explosive device was planted in Haniya's room in advance. However, at the last moment, almost everything blew up due to a simple technical malfunction. The air conditioner in Haniya's room broke down, and he had to leave, raising concerns that he would be moved to another room. In the end, they managed to fix the air conditioner, and he returned to his original room.

Journalist Ronen Bergman recounts that around 1:30 AM, a tremendous explosion shook the quiet compound. After about a minute, the medical team pronounced him dead, and then Khalil Al-Hayya entered and saw his colleague lying dead and bleeding on the ground. He himself fell to his knees and burst into tears. It was a dramatic moment.
