Army Radio reports that the rocket fire on Sderot a short time ago today (Sunday) came from the vicinity of Beit Hanoun, where IDF forces are currently operating hundreds of meters away.
The IDF and the city of Sderot have said that five such rocket launches were identified from the vicinity of Beit Hanoun, two of which were intercepted and three of which fell in open areas.
Shrapnel from interceptions were found but there have been no reports of injuries and physical damage.
Hamas previously fired two longer range rockets at the Shfela and the Jerusalem area yesterday. Both rockets were intercepted and the rocket launch site itself was destroyed in an IDF strike soon after.
