US Envoy Amos Hochstein is set to visit Beirut next Sunday to learn more about the implementation of the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, now in the second of its planned two month period, according to Israel Hayom.
According to Naharnet, Hochstein will present Lebanese authorities with a "clear message" that they must "reject any role for Iran in reconstruction, neither through Iranian firms nor through aid."
Hochstein will also "stress the need for the Lebanese state to prevent the leakage of cash from any outlet because that would have major consequences."
Meanwhile, Hezbollah has become increasingly impatient with what it calls Israel's "arrogant" behavior during the ceasefire, per which it was the victor in the battle, and sources close to the terrorist group have implicitly threatened to renew the war if Israel does not change its policies.
