The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed on Saturday that Netanyahu had experienced a urinary tract infection caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. The infection was detected on Wednesday during an examination at Hadassah Hospital, and Netanyahu has since received antibiotic treatment, which successfully eradicated the infection.

As a result of the surgery scheduled for Sunday, Netanyahu will be unable to attend his ongoing trial. The procedure will prevent him from appearing in court on Monday, and depending on his recovery, he may also miss court on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Despite his health issues, the Prime Minister’s Office reassured the public that Sunday’s scheduled cabinet meeting will proceed as planned. Further details on Netanyahu’s condition and recovery will be provided after the operation.
