From the train station in Sderot, a caravan convoy is expected to depart this evening at 7 p.m. towards the Gaza Strip, with the intention of starting the settlement movement there.
The convoy will be attended by members of bereaved families, families of hostages, residents of the border area and representatives of the settlement nuclei who are ready to move immediately to settle in the Gaza Strip.
Daniella Weiss, chairwoman of the Nachala movement, noted that the movement intends to light a second Hanukkah candle facing Gaza, and declare: "On Hanukkah, the festival of the heroism of the Maccabees, a festival of strength and daring, we will set the goal: a Jewish Gaza. No more Hamas, no more Palestinian Authority, no more international power, all of these have failed."
"The heaviest price tag for the enemy is land, and from this position the government of Israel will return the hostages, all of them, boldly and not by bowing down to the enemy. The settlement nuclei are ready to move to settle Gaza now, immediately," Weiss explained.
The Nachala Movement explained to Arutz Sheva that this is a step that expresses an important and clear direction on the way to maintaining the settlements, "We are striving towards the goal. Even if we don't succeed in getting the caravans in this time, there are already families who are willing to live in them, and if we don't start, we will never succeed."
"There are two possibilities, either a surrender agreement to Hamas, or a decision." According to them, victory will come only by force and taking land from the enemy: "That's how it works all over the world, that's how it was in Russia, China and Taiwan, and now also in Turkey and Syria."
The movement explains that the State of Israel can use the precedent that has already occurred in many countries and settle in the territory of the Gaza Strip: "Only here is the whole world standing on its hind legs so that the people of Israel will not expand in their land. We must not give in to this pressure, which is exerted only on us, and we must continue to press and push so that we too will reach a real victory and not give up territories that will allow the enemy to strengthen and build."
