Early Thursday morning, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted a precision strike on a vehicle carrying an Islamic Jihad terrorist cell in Nuseirat, Gaza. The operation, directed by IDF intelligence, targeted operatives responsible for planning attacks against Israel.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, numerous measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the deployment of precision munitions, extensive aerial surveillance, and detailed intelligence assessments. "The IDF will continue to operate against Hamas in defense of the citizens of Israel," the spokesperson stated.
Palestinian Arab media outlets reported that five journalists were allegedly killed in the attack, claiming the vehicle was marked as a "media vehicle" belonging to the Al-Quds Al-Yawm television channel. These claims have not been independently verified.
In a separate operation on Wednesday, the IAF carried out another precise strike, eliminating a Hamas terrorist operating in a designated humanitarian area in Khan Yunis. This mission, like the Nuseirat strike, was carried out based on intelligence from both the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
The IDF has reiterated its commitment to precision operations aimed at neutralizing threats while minimizing collateral damage.
